The thing about playing drums or any instrument seriously is that you have to learn the basics and practice them. Depending upon how you aproach music will detemine how much practice you will need. What do you want to acheive? I teach beginners, medium, or advanced lessons. They will accomodate your needs.
I teach utilizing several classic books that my teachers taught me. These books allow for the proper method of technique, reading and learning to sight read, and improvisation.
I also work on specific issues that you might have such as focusing on the weak limb whether it is hand or foot.
I work on your independance so that you can experience freedom in your playing. You think it, you play it.
You work on texture where you learn to play evenly with all your limbs working in harmony. So say your left hand is playing with the correct volume that the music requires along with the other limbs playing their part evenly.
I work on texturing one limb as the others remain playing the same volume. I work around the set with each limb to create independance that you'll never loose once you've got it.
